To inspire quality research, particularly among students, we instituted two Best Paper Awards for this edition of CODS - an overall Best Paper Award and a Best Student Paper Award with a student as a first author. Each award comes with a 1000 USD prize.
The 7 accepted papers were evaluated by a Best Paper Award Panel. The Panel members were Kristian Kersting (Technical University of Dortmund, Germany), Tim Oates (University of Maryland Baltimore County, USA), Rajesh Sundaresan (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India) and Anirban Dasgupta (Indian Institute of Technology at Gandhinagar, India). Based on the recommendations of the Panel, the following papers have been selected as the Best Papers at CODS 2015.
Best Student Paper: "Measuring Network Centrality Using Hypergraphs," Sanjukta Roy, Chennai Mathematical Institute and Balaraman Ravindran, Indian Institute of Technology Madras
Best Paper: "Multi-Sensor Event Detection using Shape Histograms," Ehtesham Hassan, Gautam Shroff and Puneet Agarwal, TCS Research, New Delhi
