Objective :

The PhD workshop is a forum for graduate students (PhD, MS, MTech or equivalent degree) working in the broad area of Data Sciences, to interact with each other, as well as leading experts in the area. Selected students will present their work in early stages as posters and seek feedback. Students will also get a chance to attend lectures and other events at the main conference.

  9. Arun Verma,Yogesh Simmhan and Nandyala Hemachandra : Scalable Online Analytics for IoT Applications using Big Data Platforms.
  10. Madhav Mantri and Abhinav Agarwalla : Winning Team Prediction using Weighted PageRank.

Poster Presentation :

Students intending to present posters at the conference will need to submit an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages excluding references), before 16th December 2016. The document should be formatted according to ACM proceedings template available here: https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template.

The poster abstract can be submitted through easychair: http://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cods2017 . The abstracts will be reviewed and the decision of acceptance / rejection will be communicated to the students by 15th January 2017. Accepted abstracts will be presented at CODS 2017 at posters.


Technical Communication Tutorial :

The tutorial will advice new students on paper writing skills, and presentation of results.


Travel Support :

Selected students will receive travel scholarship to attend CODS 2017.
