Since 2015, ACM SIGKDD India Chapter has been running an event (co-located or hosted by the KDD conference) meant to:

  • Showcase the current state and growth of KDD and Data Science fields in academia and industry in India.
  • Help and enable connect interested students, faculty members and industry leaders with Indian institutions and organizations.

This year the event has dual focus viz.

  • Data Science innovation in the times of Covid-19 - How Data Science solutions are being developed to tackle and mitigate the Covid-19 crisis at various levels.
  • Premier papers in recent Data Science conferences from India - A selection of relevant research papers which appeared in premier conferences.

Target Audience: Researchers interested in the state of KDD research in India – could be with a view to collaborate, start up, or return to take up positions in academia or research labs.
