Over the years, ACM SIGKDD India Chapter (IKDD) has been organizing various community building events and programs such as the annual Data Science in India workshop co-organized with KDD, ML Summer School and the Uplink program. Continuing the journey, this year we are starting a Data Science Meetup series aimed at bringing together data science researchers and practitioners that share common interests.
The very first meetup on "Large Language Models: Where are we now and what lies ahead?" is scheduled to happen on June 15th, 2023, 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
The meetup comprises two sessions: talks by distinguished speakers followed by Q&A and focused round table discussions
This session features mini talks by two distinguished speakers, Dr. Partha Talukdar (Google Research) and Dr. Monojit Choudhury (Microsoft) followed by Q & A moderated by Prof. Mitesh Khapra (IIT Madras).
This session will feature focused round table discussions (approximately 6-8 attendees) hosted by experienced researchers and data science professionals. Discussion topics would include (but not limited to):
Below are the moderators for the round tables.
Note: Participation is free but invite-only due to the limited capacity. To ensure mutually beneficial and fruitful discussions, we will be sending joining instructions to researchers and practitioners (including those with engineering and product backgrounds) who have prior experience conducting research or building systems in NLP or related areas.
Registration Deadline: 13th June 5:00 PM.
Note: We have limited capacity and applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.
