CODS (also known as CODS-COMAD between 2018 and 2024) is the premier data centric conference in India. The inaugural edition of CODS was held in Delhi in 2014. In 2018, the conference brought together - and continues to value and cherish, the name reversal notwithstanding - the Database community of the COMAD conference, which originated in 1989. Every year, passionate researchers and academics, from industry and academia, India and abroad, come together to organize the conference. The vibrant conference is marked by keynote talks from stalwarts, research and applied data science tracks, topical tutorials, poster sessions and system demonstrations. The Young Researchers Symposium has evolved as a valued forum for providing early feedback to young researchers. The conference has been consistently supported by sponsorship from top research labs, other data-centric companies, budding startups, and academic centers and institutes. We use this funding to provide travel assistance to students from across the country to attend the conference. In recent years, the conference has focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and its relevance for the data science community in India. In summary, we have been striving to bring together and nurture the data science community in India, with support from participants and organizers from around the world.
Plans are underway to significantly expand the horizons and breathe fresh life into the 2025 edition. Stay tuned!
CODS 2025 will be hosted by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune
during 17-20, December, 2025.
