Call for Tutorial Proposals
We invite tutorial proposals for the 13th International Conference on Data Science (CODS). The conference will be hosted by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, from 17 - 20 December 2025. Tutorials at CODS offer a platform to showcase state-of-the-art tools and technologies to support research, development, and applications of data systems, data science, data management and platforms, data-driven applications, and ethics of data science. We solicit tutorial proposals on all topics of interest to CODS (please refer to the call for proposals for Research and Applied Data Science tracks.
Tutorial presentations will be a part of the parallel technical track at the conference. The conference is planned as an in-person event with no virtual participation/presentation option.

The proposal must be submitted as a single PDF file, as per the submission instructions specified on this page. The proposal should fit within 4 pages (excluding references). The proposal should contain the following information:
- Title & Abstract (up to 250 words): would be used to publicise the tutorial.
- Proposed duration: 2.5 hours. We encourage you to include interactive hands-on coding sessions during the tutorials.
- Description & Outline: Provide a brief description of the planned materials in the tutorial and their depth, along with a rough point-form outline of the tutorial.
- Goals: What are the objectives of the tutorial? What is the benefit to attendees? Why is it important to include the tutorial at CODS?
- Details of the previous tutorials (If any): If the tutorial was presented earlier, provide the details, including web links, if any.
- Target Audience: Who is your target audience? What background should attendees have? You may articulate the prerequisites for the audience, e.g., “Understand derivatives and integrals as found in introductory Calculus”, “Understand classical supervised methods – decision trees and Naïve Bayes”
- Proposers/Presenters: Please provide names, affiliations, email addresses, and short bios for each proposer of the tutorial. Bios should cover the proposer’s expertise related to the tutorial topic. Indicate who among the proposers would present the tutorial. There should be at least one presenter. We strongly encourage all proposers to attend and present in person.
- References: A list of the most important references that will be covered.
*No change in the tutorial title, abstract, proposed duration, and presenters will be allowed after the acceptance of the tutorial.
